Roy joined the firm in 1979 and became a partner in 1984. He has over 40 years of experience in forest management, timber marketing, timberland transactions, and landowner relations. 

Roy Belser leads the effort to provide forest management services to timberland investment management organizations, non-industrial private forestland owners, trusts and forest products companies. Serving as Chairman, he assists with the execution of business strategy, sales, marketing, and client relations.

He is a registered forester in South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama and a South Carolina licensed real estate broker. He is a board member of the South Carolina Audubon Society and a former board member of the Association of Consulting Foresters – SC Chapter and the SC Forestry Association.
